Warner Bros has released the second full trailer for Vincenzo Natali‘s Splice on MySpace, just four weeks after the first official trailer hit the web. This one looks better than the first, especially the second half when it gets creepier and creepier. Anyway, I’m sold, and definitely looking forward to seeing it.

Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a dangerous new organism.

Splice is both written and directed by filmmaker Vincenzo Natali, of cult sci-fi hit Cube as well as Cypher. The screenplay was also co-written by two newcomers Antoinette Terry Bryant and Doug Taylor as well as Natali. This first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year and was bought by Joel Silver‘s Dark Castle Entertainment. Therefore, Warner Bros is bringing Splice to theaters, in wide release, starting on June 4th this summer.

Warner Bros has released four new production photos from Christopher Nolan‘s Inception in a Los Angeles Times‘s interview with the filmmaker.

“I always find myself gravitating to the analogy of a maze,” he said. “Think of film noir and if you picture the story as a maze, you don’t want to be hanging above the maze watching the characters make the wrong choices because it’s frustrating. You actually want to be in the maze with them, making the turns at their side, that keeps it more exciting…I quite like to be in that maze.”

If you are like me, you’re quite probably ready to watch the movie now, as it sounds it’ll be very incredible. These four new photos look pretty cool, three are from the movie and one is a set photo.

Vincenzo Natali‘s Splice starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley is another movie that was highly praised in Sundance, and one that I’m quite looking forward to. Warner Bros has finally released the first official trailer for this movie. It looks creepy, and the story is quite attractive. What was that? A mistake.

Akira (film)

Vulture has reported that Albert and Allen Hughes, (more commonly known as the Hughes Brothers), are negotiating with Warner Bros to direct the live-action adaptation of the 1988 anime (and 1982 manga) Akira. The script is written by Iron Man scribes Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby. (We already knew that Akira is being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio‘s company, Appian Way, along with Andrew Lazar.)

I haven’t watched The Book of Eli, but the trailer looks quite good, and by far the reviews are not that bad. Their style is gorgeous, if they can apply that same energetic, sleek filmmaking in The Book of Eli to a much larger story in Akira, then I’ll be happy.

Warner Bros has released the first official trailer for DC Comics‘ The Losers starring Zoe Saldana as Aisha, Chris Evans as Jensen, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Clay, Columbus Short as Pooch, Idris Elba as Roque, and Óscar Jaenada as Cougar. The trailer looks quite badass, love the cast, love the action, love the joke, love the performance. It looks quite similar to The A-Team, though there are quite a lot of differences as well. It’s based on a graphic novel, so the story should not be bad (will see if I can finish the novel before the film hits theaters later this year.

Warner Bros has finally put out the second teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception in glorious high definition (via Apple).

A thriller set within the architecture of the mind about a CEO who is involved in a blackmailing scandal.

Inception is both written and directed by acclaimed Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight. Nolan previously wrote the scripts for Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight with his brother Jonathan Nolan. Warner Brothers is bringing Inception to theaters everywhere starting on July 16th, 2010 next summer.

This is my most anticipated movie of 2010.
