The show starts with group routine, and right from the beginning, it’s very clear that this is choreographed by Wade and Amanda Robson (and it does turn out to be true). Weird but cool. I believe we will see this piece about statues in a museum in the finale again.

Then, it’s result time.

Jakob and Ashleigh and Karen and Kevin hit the stage first. Based on everything, their performances in the previous night, the judges’ opions, and their appeals to the fans, there is no doubt who would end up in the bottom three. Jakob and Ashleigh is safe for sure (I have faith we will see that Hip Hop routine in the finale as well), leaving Karen and Kevin in danger.

Next up, Viktor and Channing and Russell and Noelle, Ryan and Ellenore. Travis Wall’s magic never failed before, so is this new routine by Ryan and Ellenore, they are safe. As I predicted, the audience did not fell in love with Tyce’s weird piece, making Viktor and Channing the second couple in the bottom three.

Last up is Legacy and Kathryn, Nathan and Mollee. I guess many people would be shocked that Nathan and Mollee did not pull enough votes, like the judges and me. Maybe some backlash from last week’s dreadful Samba, or most people assumed they would be safe and did not vote for them. Anyway, Legacy and Kathryn are safe, and they deserve that.

Here’s how the solos go:

Karen still does what she did before, showing her sexual body. We know it’s difficult for a ball room dancer to perform solo, but, this is the fourth week into the competition now, work something out!

Kevin’s good, just good. There is nothing unique in him. Other Hip Hop dancers in the past seasons are much more extraordinarily than him.

Channing is trying hard to show her personalities, but I still feel it’s not enough.

There is no doubt Viktor is spectacular at his dancing techniques. However, maybe he’s got affected by Channing, his personalities don’t shine.

Without question, Mollee’s solo is the best of the night. She’s not going any where.

Nathan’s solo is not as great as I expected, still, better than the other two guys.

Then, Nigel diliberate the result, they are unanimous and Kevin and Channing are eliminated.

Next week, Viktor and Karen will be new partner, hopefully Karen might help Viktor to show his personalities.

This week, we are enjoyed by photos and videos of childhood days of the judges and dancers. Seeing the photo of Nigel’s English schoolboy attire and Mary Murphy’s kiddy-diva days is quite fun.

And here’s how the performances go:

First couple on stage, Ashleigh and Jakob, Hip Hop, by Tabitha and Napoleon D’Umo. It’s funny if we take a look at how this couple’s dances work out till now, they have been stringed into a relationship. First, Ashleigh seduced Jakob, then they got married, then they battle over a cane, and this evening Jakob is cheating on Ashleigh! And, what a great dance to start this show, this should be one of Tabitha and Napoleon’s best choreography. Both of them show their passion and anger when it comes to being in a relationship. Their acting is so believable, their moves are precise, there is nothing to criticise them. There is no doubt that they should end up in the top 10.

Second, Karen and Kevin, Broadway, by Spencer Liff. Without energies, without personalities, Broadway is dead. Both of them don’t get the Broadway style, their chemistries are gone. Kevin is struggling hard, he looks very uncomfortable. After three straight weeks on the Hot Tamale train, they are off track this week.

Third, Noelle and Russell, Fox Trot, by Eddie Simon. This is the second time that they pull out this style, though Noelle failed to perform due to her injury last time. Now we finally get a chance to see how they handle this second deadliest dance of the show. First, Russell has imiproved greatly since his first performance, his footwork and arm placement are much better now. Noelle’s movements are gorgeous, and graceful to look. The whole performance, their lifts and chemistry are all amazing. This is not their comfort zone, but they pull it off.

Fourth, Channing and Victor, Jazz, by Tyce Diorio. Tyce’s style has become more and more crazy, and I love it. This piece looks a bit like the “Hummingbird” dance, Channing and Victor turn into two eclectic black birds. Great performance. Channing has finally show her progression in the show. Though the judges think that Victor has not grown as much as the other contestants. Overall it’s a good routine, however, the question is whether the audience like the concept or not.

Fifth, Kathryn and Legacy, Paso Doble, by Tony Meredith. Legacy has continue to impress everyone, as a B-boy, he sure has grown a lot. Kathryn has become another person this week, more mature than ever before. This toutine is passionate, fierce and intense, all that you could ask for in Paso Doble.

Sixth, Ellenore and Ryan, Contemporary, by Travis Wall. Once again, Travis has proved himself to be a great choreographer. This routine is a simple yet passionate story, is very beautiful and has pulled both dancers’ strengths on. Both dancers have completely put themselves into this piece and their characters. Ryan’s strenth makes the lifts effortless.

Last, Mollee and Nathan, Pop Jazz, by Laurieann Gibson. Hard hitting, sharp and on the point, that’s Laurieann’s works. Both of them have achieved all of them, the dream team’s back. They synchronize with each other flawless. Mollee’s very committed to her dancing. Nathan is called one of the most technically gifted dancers on the show, though he needs to be more mature.

Then, before the show ends, Cat asks the judges who they think might be in danger, and all judges agree that it would be Karen and Kevin. While I doubt Channing and Victor might not attract enough votes for them.

… I got them all wrong, lol.

Anyway, the show started with Tyce Dilorio’s Broadway routine. It’s great, though a few scenes were kind of odd, but those were the problems of camera.

First up, were Karla and Vitolio and Randi and Evan. Quick Step had been the kiss of death, for years, only one or two couple had managed to get through it in the last 4 seasons. Karla and Vitolio could not get past it like the others. At this point, it was very bad for Vitolio, he’d been in the bottom three times. Unless he could pull up some great performance, he would go home. Randi and Evan were safe, though they did an average job.

Next up, Janette and Brandon, Kayla and Kupono, and Melissa and Ade. Janette and Brandon were the best couple the night before, there’s no doubt they’d be safe. As Nigel said, everyone’s tastes were different, though I love Kayla and Kupono’s Sonya’s weird routine, the American didn’t. While I thought Melissa and Ade’s classical ballet might not get enough vote, they were blessed.

Last two couples, Caitlin and Jason and Jeanine and Philip. Jeanine and Philip pulled off one of the best dances, and I never thought they’d be in the bottom three this week. Caitlin and Jason weird costume and dance made me wonder they were in danger. However, I was in the minorities again. The biggest shock of the night, Jeanine and Philip were in the bottom.

This week’s guest performance was brought by two ballet dancers. Like Melissa and Ade’s, there was no excitement, though they were very great in their style.

Karla’s solo was better than last week, but she was lacking something to shine. Vitolio could not bring anything to the stage. Kayla was the same. Kupono did not have much in his solo. Jeanine made it so obvious that she was the strongest of the three girls. Philip, he was so damn unique in his own style.

After Kelly Clarkson’s performance, decision time. The judges were unanimous on both girls and boys. Jeanine’s safe, for sure. The other two girls, Karla had no star quality and was sent home. As for boys, Philip was safe, though Nigel gave him some critiques. Vitolio was knocked out for not delivering. Kupono stayed.

Next week’s the final week before the top 10. Can’t wait to see who will get through.

Janette and Brandon, Cha Cha. They are on fire! Brandon to me, it’s like Joshua of Season 4, though he still lacks of something. They’d definitely be in the top 10. And I believe Brandon will climb up to the finals. Mia Michaels complimented him very much as well, that he cried.

Kayla and Kupono, Contemporary, by Sonya. I love Sonya’s Choreography very much, and the songs she chose. This one’s no exception (the song was “Eyes on Fire” by Blue Foundation). And these two performs very well. Their chemistry and movements were both great.

Randi and Evan, Broadway. They executed it well. But their personalities did not shine. Nigel said they’d be in the top 10, and I believe it too.

Caitlin and Jason, Jazz. Brian Friedman’s Choreography was weird too, but this one’s fun to watch. They did a good job. However, I doubt this dance might get them in trouble.

Melissa and Ade, Classical Pas de deux. Ballet’s Melissa’s style, and she rocked it. Ade’s a bit fell behind though. I didn’t see a story in this dance, and the chemistry between them did not work well as before. They might be in danger.

Jeanine and Phillip, Hip Hop. The chain seemed to give them lots of troubles when training. But when they were on stage, no trouble. Everything’s great. And, they are now chained together.

Karla and Vitolio, Quick step. First time as couple, and they were doomed to this dead style. That’s what I thought first, lol. The costume change was brilliant, good job Jean-Marc. It’s not the best Quick step on the show so far, but it’s better than most of the other couples’.

My guess for the bottom three: Caitlin and Jason, Melissa and Ade, Randi and Evan. And we’ll say goodbye to Caitlin and Jason.
