Sony had unveiled the first trailer for Jonathan Liebesman‘s Battle: Los Angeles, an action movie about an alien invasion in Los Angeles. This trailer is beautifully edited, it has a Black Hawk Down feel too. I’m quite looking forward to it.

Paramount had released the first teaser trailer for the Coen Brothers‘ True Grit on Apple and it’s awesome! The film is a new remake of an old John Wayne western which was based on a Charles Portis novel. There are a bunch of excellent actors, Jeff Bridges stars along with Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Barry Pepper and Hailee Steinfeld as well as many more! The trailer is amazing, and if the film lives up with it, it will be a big Oscar contender.
Paramount has released the teaser trailer for J.J. Abram’s new alien project Super 8 in high def on Apple. This is just an introduction to the movie, so it does not show us much info. I believe the viral marketing campaign will be much like what they did with Cloverfield, and we won’t be seeing what the alien looks like until the movie comes out (though it might be leaked). Anyway, you should definitely check it out.

Super 8 is written and directed by visionary director J.J. Abrams, who started his career with “Lost” & “Alias” before directing Mission: Impossible III and Star Trek last summer. This is being produced by Steven Spielberg with a budget of ~$50 million and hasn’t even started shooting. Abrams will film this in the next months, most likely in complete secrecy. According to early reports, this is inspired by Spielberg’s films of the 70′s and 80′s. Paramount will be releasing Super 8 in theaters everywhere sometime next summer in 2011 (a date has not been set).
Liongate has released the official teaser trailer from Ryan Reynolds‘ Buried. We can see that Liongate is taking a very bold step in marketing this film, as this trailer contains literally no footage! Anyway, I’m quite looking forward to this upcoming film, it has already been highly praised in Sundance, can’t wait to see how Ryan Reynolds performs in this stuck in a coffin film.

The screenplay was written by first-time writer Chris Sparling. Buried hits theaters in October.

Disney has debuted the teaser trailer for Tron Legacy, out of expectation. As a teaser, we are only getting a first look at some real footage from the movie, not that much plots are revealed. I wasn’t that into this movie before, but this trailer gets me quite excited for it, can’t wait for the release of the next real trailer that will tell us more about the movie. Btw, love the Daft Punk remixed song in this trailer.

This is a movie that could be great, or could be a disaster, it will all based on Reynolds’s performance. Early reviews on the script have set this film on a very high bar for me, and I can’t wait to see how’s it doing in the Sundance, we should be reading reviews on the movie in the next few days.

Warner Bros has finally put out the second teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception in glorious high definition (via Apple).
A thriller set within the architecture of the mind about a CEO who is involved in a blackmailing scandal.
Inception is both written and directed by acclaimed Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight. Nolan previously wrote the scripts for Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight with his brother Jonathan Nolan. Warner Brothers is bringing Inception to theaters everywhere starting on July 16th, 2010 next summer.
