Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains – Episode 2 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Feb 20, 2010
2010-02-20-20-47-35

In this second episode of Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains, after being poured by rains all night, the villains decide it’s time to make a sturdy shelter. However, no one’s listening to the others, Boston Rob tries to take control of the situation, but fails. People keep arguing the whole time and get nothing done. On the heroes camp, things are getting done quite well. And some plots are under way too. Stephenie is targeted because she’s a strong player. And she’s got only two allies on her side.
On the villains’ side, Boston Rob collapse in the woods, he tells Jerri to get help. Jeff and the medical team soon arrive and have a look at him. At first look, he’s in a very bad shape. But he’s recovering very soon. And the final diagnosis is just a little bit of flu. Great to have him back.
This evening’s got only one challenge, and is both for reward and immunity. The reward is ropes, tarp and nails, very helpful in Samoa. Two members of each tribe will race to roll a large tribe colored crate back to their platform and repeat that until six are retrieved. Then they have to stack those crates into a staircase with their tribe names visible on both sides, the first tribe to make it and climb to the top wins. JT, Coach, and Tyson all did this challenge during their season. The villains sit two people out (Courtney and Randy), and the heroes sit out Rupert because of his broken toe.
Again, the heroes take a quick lead, but the villains catch up in the end. And it comes down to the puzzle. The herioes are really sucked at their puzzle skills, and their coordinating skills. Too much people try to take control of the situation, people can’t stop yelling at each other, until James steps out and makes everyone shut up. But it’s already too late. Thanks to Boston Rob again, the villains win.
Back at camp, Russell tries to impress everyone and win some score some points for himself, he finds a chicken and stabs it then struts back to camp. I wonder why he’s looking for the idol this time? I would be more impressed if he manages to find the idol. Right now, I respect Boston Rob a bit more.
Meanwhile, on the heroes tribe, James goes off on his tribe for losing. He then campaigns around the camp for Stephenie to go home. Tom and Colby decide that they need to pull Cirie and Candice into their alliance if they want to keep Steph around, otherwise, they will be on the chopping block next time. After a few chats, both Cirie and Candice come together to make their decision.
At tribal council, James attacks Stephenie for losing the challenge, while Tom and Colby try to defend her. The lines are now clearly drawn between these heroes, it’s intereting to see how it plays out. Anyway, after the vote, the alliances within alliance will be out in the open.

The votes are Stephenie. Amanda. Stephenie. Amanda. Stephenie. Amanda. Stephenie. Stephenie. Stephenie. And the second person voted out is Stephenie.

Survivor: Samoa – Finale Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Dec 21, 2009

Russell is the only one that takes the game serious. He’s the one gets up early and takes back the tree mail. The other four are still sleeping when comes back.

In the first immunity challenge of this evening, players must race across a net and a balance beam to retrieve a bag of puzzle pieces then back and up a steep ladders to a puzzle board. Russell and Brett get off with a good start, but everyone catches up and working on the puzzle right after the first two. Mick and Russell both get qutie close of finishing their puzzles, however, it’s Brett that wins immunity again. (Russell’s plan of voting off the female members of the Galu tribe fails miserably. He should have taken out the strong players first.)

Back at camp, it seems that Natalie’s on the chopping block at first. But Russell wants her around, so the target turns to Mick and Jaison. Russell succeeds in having both of them voting against each other. Then he tries to work out a better strategy with Natalie. There are good and bad points to keep either of them. Jaison won’t win any votes from the jury but he sucks in challenges. Mick is a strong and nice player and might win the million in the end.

When the votes are read at the tribal council, it’s Jaison who becomes the first Foa Foa members to join the jury. And the remaining four are told that there is only one immunity challenge left.

The next day, Russell tries to play his game by aligning with Brett, promising him to bring him to the final three if anyone of them wins the immunity challenge. The four contestants then go on a typical Survivor journey atop the cliffs of Samoa and pay their respects to the players who were voted off before them. In pervious seasons, people tended to make it a touching moment. But, none of these four have any nice things in their minds about most of the other competitors.

Then it’s time for their final immunity challenge, before the last tribal council of the season. The players must balance a statue on a pole, and add another foot long pole on every two minutes. Mick dropped his statue first, Natalie followed him right after. Russell and Bret are each balancing their statues on seven feet poles. It’s intense and nervewracking for them and for us watching it. Finally, Brett drops his statue and Russell wins. (At this point, I really don’t think that anyone can manage to get more votes from the jury than Russell does.)

It’s an obvious decision to make at the moment, no one can beat Brett with the majority of jury are Galu members. But Russell’s having a hard time with it, he wants to sit with the best players in the end in some way.

At tribal council, Russell does the best thing for himself, and Brett becomes the final member of the jury.

The next day, Russell is very confident that he will win. He tries to trash talking with Natalie.

Now it’s time for the final tribal council, and the jury will decide who deserves to be the winner. In their opening statements, Mick says that he stays with the parameters he set for himself, Natalie thanks everyone for helping her get where she is, and Russell states that he’s the best player and derserver the million.

Jaison asks each contestant to let the jury know who they really are and says that no one needs the money. Shambo gives an overdramatic speech, calling Mick feckless (which he doesn’t know what it means), Natalie a coattails rider, and stating that they will not get her vote. Brett talks about going out on a bro date with Mick, Kelly accuses Natalie of needing help every step of the way, and Monica questions Mick and Natalie’s passion for the game.

Dave asks everyone what they think their chances are of winning, Mick says 20%, Natalie says 30-40%, and Russell says he comes to council with great confidence while it drops to 55% at the moment.

Russell tells Laura that if he didn’t take her out, she’d be sitting in his place right now. Mick tries to play the good guy card to John, asking for his vote. Erik asks no questions, he tells Mick that he never deserved to be a leader, calls Russell unethical and proud of it, tells Natalie that she’ll have his vote.

(My take on the jury, they are the worst jury of the Survivor history, period.)

The votes are read in L.A., and they are Natalie, Russell, Natalie, Russell, Natalie, Natalie, Natalie… Natalie wins.

Quite a disapointed result I’d say. This is really the worst jury of all time, they didn’t want to vote for the one who worked very hard to get their asses kicked, so their only choice was to vote for someone who literally did nothing to get to where she was.

The look of shock and hurt was painted all over Russell’s face when he learned the results. I can understand his feeling, that really hurts.

Though he’s been crowned Survivor Player of the Season by America, still, losing the game means much more for him. I can only wish him have a bright future. You are the man!

Survivor: Samoa – Episode 13 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Dec 14, 2009

Back at camp, Shambo is a bit annoyed that she was blindsided. Russell quickly comes out a lie, telling her that John was trying to vote her off so they had to get him out. She buys it and is back with the Foa Foa team. She’s just that easy.

The eight contestants go to the beach to meet Probst, thinking that another reward challenge awaits. But no prize, but an immunity challenge. So, there will be two immunity challenges and two tribal councils, looks like the producers want to speed up things now.

In this challenge, players are randomly paired together and play a Survivor bowling against each other. Whoever knocks the most pins down after throwing two balls moves on to the next round. First round, Shambo, Russell, Dave and Jaison win and advance. Second round, Shambo takes out Russell while Jaison defeats Dave. In the final round, Shambo throws two gutter ball, so Jaison wins immunity for the second week in a row.

Back at camp, Shambo states that Dave must leave and the Foa Foa four all agree first. Monica then tries to get Russell to vote out Shambo, claiming she’ll get votes on the jury for him. It’s almost quite certain that Russell buys her suggestion, he talks to Dave that they need to vote Shambo.

However, at tribal council, the Foa Foa four and Shambo stick to the original plan and vote Dave off.

In the second challenge, players have to race out in the water to retrieve three bags, one at a time, and bring them back to the beach. They then have to put the bag on a plank and jump on it so that the bag will land in a basket high above them. This has been done in previous Survivor, so anyone who’s a royal fan should have an idea of what to do.

Brett, Mick and Russell are the three that learn the tricks quickly. But it’s Brett who wins when he really needs to. (It’s very clear that Russell would vote him off in the second tribal council.)

Back at camp, Monica tries to play hardball with Russell, telling him that if she gets votes out, she won’t vote for him in the finale because she knows he already makes a lot of money. When questioned by Russell, she says that Natalie told her that. Russell goes after Natalie, furious that she would reveal his secret to his enemy, but she swear she didn’t sya it. They then go to ask Brett, who tells them that it’s indeed Jaison.

Meanwhile, Mick and Jaison worry that Russell will take them out when all Galu members have been eliminated. They try to convince Natalie to stay on their side. Russell feels that he might be a target of his own people and decides to use the idol if he feels anything in the tribal council.

At tribal council, right before Jeff start asking them questions, Russell takes out the hidden idol and wears it. Monica says he’s being cocky, but Russell claims that the great thing about the hidden immunity idol is that nobody knows what he’s going to do with it. (Exactly, I don’t think any of the contestants knows what Russell’s going to do. ) Monica’s being very obnoxious and keeps laughing at Russell. But that smile fades as she’s voted out.

Since the merge, the Foa Foa four have already knocked out six Galu members in a row. As Dave said, Russell was born to play this game. I really would like to see Russell in the final.

Survivor: Samoa – Episode 12 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Dec 06, 2009

Since the merge, three tribal councils, two blindsides, two idols have been played. This season has got to be one of the best seasons, and it’s the reason that this show still manage to attract audience after all these years.

At this point, you’d think that the Foa Foa would take out the rest Galu members one after another. But, this is Survivor, you can’t predict what would happen.

No reward challenge this evening, but things get rolling with everyone’s favorite: Survivor Auction. First item is a PB&J sandwich, Natalie bid $200 without hesitation and wins it. Shambo bid $240 for a covered item, and it’s slug guts. I think anyone else would be pissed if they win it, but Shambo swallows it down with a smile. (Well, have to give her some respects on that.)

The next one is a covered item again, Monica buys it for $340, this time it’s a roasted chicken. Now that’s something that really worth the money. Next up is a clue that would give the one wins an advantage in the immunity challenge, Jaison beats John by spending all his $500. Then a burger and beer, Mick buys it with all $500 without second thought. Next is a clue to the aimmunity idol, and it goes to John for $200. Wonder why does Russell not trying to heat it up. The next item is a Survivor shower, Natalie gets it with $120. John gets a big piece of apple pie, he may trade it for four pieces which he can share with 3 other people. He keeps his own piece, feeling no one would vote him out for that. (Terrible move, now you are giving people a reasont to write your name down.) And the auction ends, nothing for the other people.

John looks for the idol right after they return to camp, but finds nothing. Well, he soon suspects Russell has already found it.

Meanwhile, everyone decide to kill a chicken for dinner. Shambo takes full control on the cooking, and freaks out whenever someone tries to give her some advice. Later that night, Shambo has some creepy dream about the chikcen, and that the tribe votes Dave off. Russell tells her that God is speaking to her.

The immunity challenge is very simple, each one holds onto a rope attached to a log until you can’t anymore. Jaison’s advantage is that, he can move up 2 full knots on the rope at any time, reducing him the tension and weight. Surprisingly, Shambo is out first. Then Russell kind of gives up, Monica, John, Brett, Mick and Natalie follow. Dave and Jaison are the remaining two, and the $500 advantage does pay off, Jaison wins immunity.

Back to camp, John and Russell meet to discuss their next move, at first they all agree to vote off Mick. But then John talks too much, and says that he knows Russell has the idol. Poor boy, now you are the target. Russell, then goto Dave and promises him safety if they votes John out. Jaison worries that Shambo might be freaked out if she’s kept in the dark, and she might switch side again.

At tribal council, Dave says he’s worried that he’s the target. Shambo says her vote will be based on who deserves a million. Russell admits that there could be another blindside.

Then it’s voting time, the votes are: Mick. Dave. John. John. John. John. John. John is sent to the jury.

It seems that everyone has neglected Brett. He’s been an underdog all the time, but I think he might surprise us later.

Survivor: Samoa – Episode 10 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Nov 24, 2009

Back to camp, Laura’s definitely very pissed that she talks strategy of finding the idol and getting Russell out with Natalie in the tent. Shambo and Russell are very happy, Dave congratulates Russell. Laura still believe they have the larger numbers.

Early the next morning, Russell gets up before anyone else does and starts searching everywhere for the idol, but to no avail. Now that he puts his hopes on winning the reward challenge so that he can have more clues.

For the reward challenge, players are divided into two teams of five. One player lies in a cradle while the other four members try to maneuver the cradle so that 15 flags can be picked up and sticked into holes on a large wood log. Winning team will be flown to a nearby island for a picnic, and they’ll get a cell phone to take pictures.

The teams are: Jaison, Mick, Shambo, Monica, and John versus Dave, Brett, Laura, Russell, and Natalie. The curse of Foa Foa has continue to fall on Jasison and Mick, their team is having big troubles. Meanwhile, Russell and Natalie’s team quickly runs through this challenge, though Natalie almost falls of the cradle. They win their first reward, and more clues for Russell. Laura’s on board as well, so it’s interesting to see who’s the smarter person.

Back at camp, Jaison and Mick slip their mouths, telling Monica that they a Galu player working with them. Though they don’t tell her the name, she immediately guess it should be Shambo. Dumb Jaison and Mick, I think they’ll be voted out once Galu members are all out.

The clue is in the cell phone, and there is a video showing that the idol is hidden under a rock. Right after everyone are back to camp, the hunt is on. Dave and Laura are chasing Russell around the camp. Somehow Russell figures out the possible location of that rock, then he tries to lure Dave and Laura away, and succeeds. Seeing Russell out-run Dave is really funny.

When Russell loses Dave, he comes back to the place and finds the idol! And this time, he doesn’t tell anyone but Shambo.

The immunity challenge is to throw a rock and break tiles, for each tile you break, you get a spear. And if you break other player’s tile, he/she gets a spear as well. The spears are then used to shoot at a target, closest person wins. Jaison, Monica (Dave breaks her tile, lol) and Mick each gets one spear, while Brett gets two. Shambo laughs out when Laura fails to break her tile. The curse seems to wear off finally, Mick gets his spear closest to the bullseye and wins immunity.

It seems the vote is going to be split, 5 votes for Laura, 5 votes for Russell. Shambo tells Brett and John that she’s gunning for Laura no matter what. No one cares about John’s idea of voting Natalie out, which pisses him a bit. And then the other Galu members come up with an idea to fool Foa Foa members to vote John, while in reality they are voting for Natalie. Monica tries hard to convince the Foa Foa, but Russell and Jaison suspect. The way to find out? Tell John about everything. Meanwhile, John gets really pissed off when he learns his Galu members’ strategy from Brett. Russell goes to him at the right time, John asks him to vote one Foa Foa member off next time if they want his vote. Russell agrees, though John does not trust him that much.

In tribal council, Foa Foa is still trying to lure people to their side, while Dave says he’s willing to draw a rock. (It surprises me that the producers have changed the rules when there is a tie on voting. In previous, both players will have to make fire to win, which showcase their skills. While on this season, they’ll re-vote then draw a rock. Seriously!)

Then it’s voting time, Russell does not show the idol, it seems he knows Galu is not gunning for him. First time of voting, 5 votes for Laura, 5 votes for Natalie, tie. Then re-vote, 4 votes for Natalie, 6 votes for Laura! Every Galu members are shocked, except John. Well, that’s what you deserve when you want to play someone of your side on the thin line.

Survivor: Samoa – Episode 9 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Nov 16, 2009

Back to camp, Russell feels he’s on the chopping block now. Every former Galu members that he showed the idol knows that he’s lying. He needs a miracle.

The next morning, out of everyone’s expectation, Natalie, the “dumb blonde” that Russell thought, kills a rat with a stick. Good job, girl.

At the reward challenge, they are devided into two teams of five (one has to sit out). Two at a time, each team raced out to grab a pole with white and black coconuts. Then they’ll have to position the poles so that it will form a sequence of four numbers. The last player must find the numbers in correct order on a series of wheels while blindfolded.

Natalie sits out, but she gets to choose one team to support, she’ll get reward if the team wins. And the teams are: Russell, Mick, Jaison, Brett, and Laura vs. Dave, Monica, Kelly, John, and Shambo. Natalie supports her former teammates. The reward, a trip to a natural rock slide, and a picnic lunch.

Russell’s team take a decent start, while shambo is dragging her team behind. But Russell’s team fall quickly behind when it comes to figure out the numbers. Dave and John works great together and guess the number in a short time, and Monica find the numbers with ease. Foa Foa’s just like a curse, one win in nine episode, that should be a record.

At their lunch, the winning team learn that the immunity idol is back in play and hidden at the camp.

BUT, back at camp, Russell is already looking for the idol. (I admit I didn’t like him at first, but now seeing him play ahead of the producers, I really hope he can get to the end. ) And, without any difficulties, he finds it under a bridge! Twice without a clue, he finds the idol. Love him or hate him, you have to give him the credit of thinking ahead of the producers.

Immediately, he shows Shambo and the rest of his Foa Foa tribe the idol. It seems to me a risky move, the Galu tribe members might sense something different and find out he has the idol. Anyway, things are quite interesting now. Shambo is dreaming of sending Laura away, though Russell comes out a backup plan of voting Kelly. If you can’t take down the queen, take down the princess. (I wonder why they don’t want to vote the strong players of the Galu tribe.)

For the immunity challenge, each one uses a rope with a grappling hook to retrieve two bags of puzzle pieces. First three to retrieve the bags move on to the final round, they must open their bags to get two puzzle pieces. Only one piece will fit into a board that looks like Perfection. Once their piece fit into the board, another piece will drop down, and so on, till they match all the puzzle pieces.

It seems to me that Russell is not trying hard at first, he’s watching Laura’s move. But his strategy fails, they both land their hook on the bag at almost the same time, and Laura beats him.

So, Mick, Shambo and Laura are in the final round. Mick and Shambo get a decent lead, but soon they find themselves in quite a embarrassed position. After Laura figure out the first puzzle piece, she just flies through the whole game board. The curse on Foa Foa never dies, Shambo’s on board because she aligns with them.

Not knowing that Russell has already found the idol, the Galu tribe decides to send Russell home. Although Monica does raise the problem if Russell has the idol, the other members don’t believe that he can find the idol without any clues. Russell passed through them in their conversation, and overheard Natalie’s name, which makes him hesitates in playing the idol or not. Being a dumbass that is sent home with an idol in his pocket, or being a dumbass that play the idol twice without being voted? That’s the question.

At tribal council, it’s clear that both former tribes stick to their own members. Galu is very pleased with their numbers over Foa Foa. Meanwhile, Foa Foa’s trying to make Galu feel comfortable. Before Jeff read the votes, Russell gives Galu a big surprise. “I ain’t finished playing just yet, ladies”, saying this, he pulls the idol out of his pocket. Dave’s jaw is almost off to the floor, while Erik’s punching the air. Monica is very nervous, thinking it would be her out. Shambo shows her great acting abilities, she looks shocked and confusion like the other Galu members. All votes against Russell are discarded. Then, Kelly’s name comes up and she’s pissed. Another blindside, another Galu member out.

Now, this has become a 5-5, dead even game. This is what Survivor is.

Survivor: Samoa – Episode 8 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Nov 09, 2009

Back to camp, everyone at Foa Foa prays for the merge. It seems that they have no faith of winning any games as a tribe. Russell has a strategy for his member to work the Galu tribe. While the next morning in Galu, Laura and Shambo crashed over a canteen.

Everyone of Foa Foa feel relieved when their prays come true.

Things seem to going on quite well at first, each one of the former Foa Foa works their ways to the former Galu members. However, Russell’s own strategy of getting people on his side does not work well. He shows the idol to Laura, Monica and John, one by one. But no one’s quite with him. Laura even says she would blindside Russell. Russell’s final bet is Shambo, and it looks they connect with each other quite well despite him not showing the idol. Quite ironic.

Knowing Laura would not work with him, Russell tries to work on voting her out, and it seems to be a success. Before the challenge, everyone are on board to vote Laura out.

No reward challenge this week, but individual immunity challenge. Everyone will hit a ball into a course, which is divided into sections of points (2 – 5). Whoever scores the highest wins, everyone gets one chance though. And there are two necklaces, one for the men, one for the women.

The men are up first, Russell scores four points, and it looks like he is going to win. But John knocks the ball into the five point zone. John wins immunity.

The girls are up next, unfortunately, Laura wins. Russell gets hit.

Everyone of former Galu tribe, except Shambo, knows Russell has the immunity idol. Erik is trying to act like a king, he comes up to the other three Foa Foa member (minus Russell), requesting them to vote Monica out, but let Russell think he’s the target so he’ll play the idol. Jaison then tells the other two that they should tell every other Galu members about Erik’s plan, and let it play out. Natalie soon begins to work the girls, and looks like she succeeds. Everyone is now jumping on Erik.

At tribal council, Russell says he’ll play as hard as he can till the end. Erik called out Jaison for being a weak player, and the two exchange heatedly. Then it’s voting time. Before Jeff read the votes, Russell decides to play the idol (dumb move!), feeling quite unsafe. But, no vote for him. All votes are against Erik, except two on Monica. Erik’s sent home.

Next week, Russell will be in big troubles without the idol. Hopefully he can win the immunity, then another Galu member might be out, the game will be quite interesting at this point.

Survivor: Samoa – Episode 7 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Nov 03, 2009

Seeing they are now equal in number with the girls, the men on the Galu tribe know that they need to pull Shambo over to their side. So Erik comes up an idea to make Shambo their new tribe leader so that she trust them more. The tribe take a vote, and the girls are surprised that Shambo gets all the supports of men, Monica begins to suspect the men’s motions.

The reward challenge is about testing everyone’s memmories. 13 pairs of matching survival items are scattered in a field and covered. Each time, one team member walk out and uncover two items at a time. If they match, the tribe can keep the items but they forfeit the point they receive, or they can keep the point. Winning tribe will take a boat ride and enjoy a lunch. Galu scores the first match, and they keep the fire making kit they uncovered. They score three points before Foa Foa scores their first. Eventually Galu wins reward. Shambo sends Laura to Foa Foa, which pisses her off.

Everyone else in Galu enjoys their ride on a pirate boat, and get to take part in navigating it.

Back at Foa Foa’s camp, Russell quickly approaches Laura and they kind of set up an cross-tribe alliance (hopefull it will work out). Natalie also connects with Laura, though Liz is not comfortable seeing them doing nothing but chatting.

For the immunity challenge, each team rows out on a boat to retrieve fish shaped puzzle using fishing gears and bring them back after they collects all the pieces. The tribe to put the puzzle together first wins. Foa Foa gets a lead on collecting the pieces, but Jaison becomes exhausted when they pull the boat back, Galu catches up. When it comes down to the puzzle, Liz finds out the pattern first and it seems they might win their second immunity. However, Jaison is still recovering and literally doing nothing. Galu soon finds the pattern as well, and they quickly finish the puzzle. Galu wins again.

Russell turns to get Jaison out of the game because his miserable behaves. And as the scenes that are shown to us, it seems quite clear that Jaison is the next one to go home.

Jeff tells them at tribal council that they are one of the worst tribes in Survivor history. Russell says that they will be much stronger when the merge comes. Liz trusts everyone. While Jaison says nothing with his head down. When questioned by Jeff, he answers that he will not let his team down again.

Then is voting time, 1 vote to Jaison and 3 votes to Liz. Liz is blindsided, and so are we (by the producers).

Next week’s the merge, can’t wait to see how things will move on.

Survivor: Samoa – Episode 6 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Oct 26, 2009

This week, we see that the rain has been kept pouring down, both tribes suffer a lot. Everyone’s hands and feet are white, pruny, and raw. People can’t stop shaking, and there is no doubt that they lack sleep and nutrition. I’ve watched almost every season of Survivor, but I can’t recall there had been raining so hard before. Poor them.

Meanwhile, Russell (the devil), seems to have a very good time here. He goes around and keeps doing his daily business while everyone hiding in the useless shelter. I have to admit that his evilness has gone away during this misery weather, and it’s kind of fun to watch him.

On Galu, Russell (the good) is busy as well. He tries to make fire, to no avail. And it seems he’s feeling weak at some point.

In this episode’s challenge, teams have to place one member in a giant ball while two blindfolded players push the ball through a course. Once they arrive at the finish line, the two players will join the other two blindfolded players to complete a puzzle, using only the person in the ball for guidance. Winning tribe gets to eat hot pizzas. However, there is a twist, both tribe will have to go to tribal council and vote one off. While the winning tribe would be watching the losing tribe’s council with Jeff.

It’s obvious that the producers want to even up the playing field, as Foa Foa is losing and losing and losing.

Despite his weakness, Russell (the good) sits out other players and join the competition. But, it proves to be a disater for him. When Galu arrive at the puzzle, moment’s behind Foa Foa, Russell (the good) completely loses his consciousness. Jeff stops the challenge and asks medics to see if he’s okay. No, he is not good. His condition worse just within a few minutes, heart rate drops, and unable to gain conscious for a few minutes.

Jeff cancels the challenge, no winner, no pizza, while both tribes are still going to vote someone off. If Russell (the good) gets better, he’ll join them at tribal council.

Back at Galu, everyone’s miserable because they might lose two people in one night. All the young girls unite and wants to vote Shambo off. However, the men feel that Shambo is harmless to them, and decide to go against Monica. While at Foa Foa, it’s obviously a choice between Natalie and Liz.

At tribal council, both tribes get competitive. Foa Foa seems to be very confident that they would have won the challenge today. Eric claims that there’s no way Galu would lose the game. Russell (the devil) fires back that they are in a very high spirit, and will win the next challenge.

Jeff then reveals that Russell (the good) can not continue the game, and based on everything’s happened, no one will be voted out. Lucky them.

Survivor: Samoa – Episode 5 Recap

Posted by: Nightheaven   in TVs / 电视, Oct 17, 2009

Back from previous tribal council, Shambo feels completely isolated from the whole tribe, as she was not told about voting Yasmin out. The other girls acts like middle school girls, they just sit beside the fire and chat like Shambo’s not there. They make me feel sick.

Tree mail arrives, and a food challenge is waiting. When it’s a food challenge, everyone knows it’s going to be some disgusting stuff. Liz’s worried about Ashley (and she’s right).

Galu sits out Kelly, Laura and John, lucky them. Others taking the challenge one on one. Jeff spin the wheel and mix up items to make a Samoan Smoothie, they are really disgusting. Everyone is able to finish their smoothie, except Ashley, so Galu wins reward, some barbeque stuff, again. Anyway, everyone should be given credit of drinking those shits.

Russell (the good) sends Shambo to Foa Foa again, which pisses her very much.

Shambo shares the clues of the immunity idol with the whole Foa Foa tribe, and she starts looking for it at camp, to no avail. Liz suspect that Russell (the devil) has got the idol because he was looking in that tree hole before. She confronts him, but he denies, and then threatens to get her out if she doesn’t believe him.

Heavy rain begins to pour down, making things miserable for all people.

At the immunity challenge, coconuts will be thrown into a net by the opposing tribe and player will have to hold it up for as long as they can. It seems the food gives Galu much more energies, as their acuracy is much much better than Foa Foa. Russell (the devil) and Liz are out of challenge very soon. Galu wins immunity.

As the heavy rains continues, everyone in Foa Foa sits under the shelter, no one can run around talking other people to vote what they wants out. It looks like it’s come down to Liz or Ashley. Liz performed very well in challenges, but she’s not close to other people as Ashley does. And as she confronted Russell (the devil) earlier, it’s hard to imagine he would not write down her name.

Surprisingly, with the votes come at tribal council, it’s Ashley who gets all the votes and she’s sent home.
