Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World , based on the series of graphic novels by Bryan Lee O’Malley, is another film that I’m quite looking forward to this year. But I’m a bit disappointed at how slow Universal is marketing it.
Now we’ve got a high-res poster and a desktop wallpaper. The poster is a very good replication of the title page of the first volume. Love it. And hopefully we’ll see more marketing soon.

This new Kick-Ass poster had been leleased quite a few days ago by Lionsgate, still it’s never too late to show it, just because I love this amazing poster. It’s simple yet eye-catching, the paint splatter effect is extraordinary. It’s a brilliantly designed poster, by now the best of 2010. Check it out below!

Kick-Ass is both written and directed by British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, of Layer Cake and Stardust previously. The screenplay was co-written by Vaughn and his writing partner Jane Goldman, of Stardust as well. The story is an adaptation of Mark Millar‘s comic of the same name that is currently in the middle of its first series. Kick-Ass was funded entirely by Matthew Vaughn and his own private investors and sold once finished earlier this year. Lionsgate is bringing Kick-Ass to theaters everywhere on April 16th this spring.
