The Weinstein Company has debuted a second official trailer for Gonzalo López-Gallego’ Apollo 18, the sci-fi film about the mysterious Apollo 18 moon landing.  It looks like they have omitted quite a few footage from the first trailer that was released months ago, making it feels more like Paranormal Activity in space. Check the new, shorter trailer below.

To the history books Apollo 17 was NASA’s last Apollo mission, but an undocumented and covert operation to the moon was made by Apollo 18, which revealed disturbing evidence of new life forms.

Apollo 18 is directed by Spanish editor/filmmaker Gonzalo López-Gallego, of a few features like King of the Hill and Nómadas previously, who is making his English-language debut with this. The original screenplay was written by Brian Miller (Paracusia) & Cory Goodman (Priest). Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov also produced this in secrecy at Dimension Films. The Weinstein Company is currently set to release the mysterious Apollo 18 in theaters starting September 2nd this fall.
